Travel Information and Directions Travelling around Glasgow is straightforward with various forms of transport available, train, bus, underground and taxi services. There are two Airports serving Glasgow, Glasgow International Airport and
Prestwick Airport. Glasgow Airport is 30 minutes travelling time by car from Barony Apartments, whereas Prestwick Airport is approx 1 Hour. Transfer Services from Glasgow International Airport Airport buses can be found outside arrivals which will take you directly into the City Centre at a cost of £4.50 single, £6.50 day return per person. Please note the bus service runs from 8am till 8pm. Taxis are also available from outside the arrivals building at an approximate cost of £20-£22. Car hire can be found outside domestic arrivals.
Transfer Services from Prestwick Airport
Buses:Buses destined for Glasgow can be accessed from the railway bridge located in the terminal building. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is served by Stagecoach Western Express Service X77 service to/from Glasgow Buchanan Street Station, this is a direct service which stops outside the airport concourse. Further information is provided from Stagecoach.
Trains: Glasgow Prestwick is the only airport in Scotland served by its own railway station. Trains operate every half hour (hourly on Sunday's) to/from Glasgow Central Station between the hours of 06:00 - 23:08. All passengers receive free or half price rail travel.
